![]() ![]() if you dicide crazy power later it is a hole new game. you can also get lager injectors than needed and in return with minimal extra cost you have the avialbility and sfty to make more power later if you wish. You will make all the power you want with the stock air flow meeter. from their after you hve been used to it you will be pulling hard in a few hours of street tuneing and all the fun is fine tuneing it and toying with it. If this interests you buy this unit first and toy with it on you stock set up and learn how to use it and data log once you are good at it i would sudgest intalling the new injectors getting the car to run fine and than install the turbo. their are many ways to tune this you can solect how you like. what this wil enable you to do is tune your fuel and ignition maps. now what you will need a fsm to help you wire it in correctly. I agin am sorry that im such a bad typer.Įmu is emanage ultimate witch must be wired into your stock harness. smoething like EMU with wide band and all can help you tune your own car to perfection. Sorry im a horific typer. It may be better for you to use a piggy back engine management than wiating a lift time for a ecu that is 50/50 chance gonna work and you can not tune it. If I get the chance though, I will take some pics of my ecu for curiosity's sake. As per the reasons mentioned above, the jwt route is not practical for me. I do have a have a jwt 94 -96 ecu laying around." Why piggy a jwt ecu? Would piggying the stock ecu (eg with emanage) not be just as effective? And what is this emu system you mention in your next post? Would like to understand this better.īig_Lettuce, thanks for putting yourself out and the pm. P10det, can you please clarify what you mean here: "i would piggy a stock ecu of jwt and hve a faster car. Who doesnt want more power -) My limitation was due to the fact that a) I was initially planning on sticking with the de b) my de is now getting tired. If I am gonna go for the swap, then the more hp the better. ![]() What can I get for a budget of your 4000 or so US dollars? Thats my budget. Started off with the idea of turboing the de but I am more inclined to for a gtir swap now. Not sure any more which way I want to go. Thanks for the continued feedback guys, really appreciated. Question? should i feel like an ass for wanting everyone to learn to tune thier own cars? i have found that even a stock de if you want to dish money in the same parts can get very good gians from street tuneing with no other mods. my wish is to all to have bad ass cars that they can tune. cant say much more cuase i have to make it happen first. calum is also trying to work on their ecu's meaning what i make will make swap perfect. Make sence? im also working on some top secret roller rocker swap plates so they cn do any engine swap and use emu or what ever they want to tune. I will offer the best info on this with in 30days once i have it all perfected this way one can learn to make a bd ass tune and not have to wiate for it. so for 500and change you can have a emu hrness and option port harnes for wide band to dat log makeing street tuneing easy as hell and every day you can mke it even better. their is no info out yet on the emu right now but the car i recently put together is running it and im impressed with how good it keeps getting. in return i get more money back and still get the same tuneing im wanting. im mabe selling stand alone nd running a stock ecu with piggy. No im saying if he is up for it a piggy back like emanage ultamate is a great buy. They are old, grumpy, and set in their ways. That's just the ones that were not camera shy, the others don't play that camera BS, they sock a eye out if you try to pic 'um. I have PM'd you his email and he wants you to direct all of your questions to him directly so we can help you build a happy-car!!!Īs for p10det, 6 GTi-R, no. Also he says you need to reverse the TWO OUTER wires on the GTi-R TPS so it will read normal, the stock FPR on the GTi-R fuel rail will work, however the FPR on a standard hi-po de & det is the same part as all pressure is set at 43.5 psi. He asks for you to take pictures of your ECU plugs, your ECU, your ECU code numbers, and remove the cover from your ECU and take a pic of the circuit board and email them to him. If it is white then you will have 2 ways of doing this, some white ones they may can help due to plug desing as your car is UKDM not white plug USDM, though no promises. If your ECU has a blue connector this is good as this is same as a Pulsar and they can sell you a program for it. The stock fuel pump, hmmm? I called JWT for you and they said this is good for close to 200 crank HP. Thanks for the love mg1969 for the props, and also this brings more questions.
